It has been almost 3 years since the launch of youtube shorts and you all must be aware of it now. It’s basically a short-form content feature of youtube that it launched to compete with TikTok. With the help of youtube shorts, creators can make videos up to 60 seconds.
How I Made $1000 with YouTube Shorts
Let’s talk about how I made $1000 with youtube shorts. So what I basically did was I sold youtube shorts channels. Back then in 2021, youtube shorts was new and I took the early bird advantage of it. Let’s break down that journey into steps.
Step 1: Created a lot of YouTube Channels
The first step that I followed was that I created a lot of youtube channels somewhere between 20-30 channels. These channels were in different categories. There were around 4-5 different categories of channels like:
- Makeup channels
- Tech channels
- Memes channels
- Entertainment channels
So in each category, there were 5 channels. I created all these channels on different gmails so that I can easily sell them later on.
As youtube shorts were in trend, therefore I created multiple youtube channels to avail maximum benefit of the trend.
Step 2: Published Regular Shorts
After creating a lot of youtube channels I started publishing regular shorts on those youtube channels.
I used to publish almost 50 shorts per day on each channel initially and later on 20-30 shorts per day on each channel.
I downloaded those short videos from different Instagram pages. Those were copyright-free short videos that I downloaded from Instagram and uploaded on my youtube shorts channels. For each category channels, I used to upload the same shorts to save my time and efforts.
I actually maintained a bank of more than 1,000 videos for each category to upload videos without interruption and in bulk.

Step 3: Consistency
After that, I kept on uploading videos without caring about the results and soon the results were shocking. After about a week the results started showing and in a month a few channels grew above 1K subs and more than 1 Million views. That was all due to consistency.
The most important thing to grow on any social media platform is consistency. When you constantly keep uploading content without caring about the results you eventually get succeed.
Step 4: Selling of YouTube Shorts Channels
Although I also made some money from affiliate marketing through my youtube channels, the major revenue came from directly selling those youtube channels.
Within a few months, I had more than 10 youtube shorts channels with over 1K subs and some of those channels also had 35K subs, 17K subs, 12K subs, and 7K subs.
Then I started selling those youtube channels on different platforms like Facebook and different online account selling websites like fameswap and accs-market. In total I sold over 10 youtube channels which gave me a total revenue of more than $1,000.
So, this was basically how I made over $1000 from youtube shorts.

How you can Make Money from YouTube Shorts in 2023
You can also make money from youtube shorts using this method but you would have to keep a few things in mind as the competition now is far more than it was then in 2021 when I made money from youtube shorts using this method.
- Select a few categories to work in, or if you don’t have much time consider going with only one category
- Make at least 4-5 youtube shorts channels in that category. You can also make more channels depending on how much time you have
- Make a short-videos bank of around 1,000 videos in your category
- Make a schedule and start uploading videos based on that schedule. I would recommend you upload at least 10 videos daily on each channel. You can also upload the same videos on all of your channels in the same category.
- Be consistent and follow your schedule strictly without caring about the results
- Once your channels grow to significant subscribers you can start selling them on different online platforms like facebook, fameswap and etc.
- If you don’t wanna sell your youtube channels you also have other options like affiliate marketing, sponsorships and etc. to make money from your youtube channels.
